Who we are
TradesBoss is job-management software for solo UK tradespeople, sold as a one-time purchase. If you have any question about this policy, email support@tradesboss.co.uk.
The app: your data stays on your computer
Everything you put into TradesBoss — customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, expenses — is stored locally on your own computer, inside your browser's storage. It is never uploaded, synced or sent to us or anyone else. We couldn't look at your data even if we wanted to, because we never receive it.
- The app works fully offline and makes no connection to our servers.
- Backups you export are files you keep — on your computer, a USB stick, wherever you choose.
- If you delete the app and its browser data, your data is gone. We hold no copy.
This website
Our website is a simple page. We don't collect names, emails or any personal details through it, and we don't sell or share anything about you.
Advertising measurement: we run adverts to let tradespeople know TradesBoss exists, and this site uses the Meta Pixel so we can tell whether those adverts work (for example, how many people who clicked an ad actually visited, and whether a purchase happened). The pixel sends standard technical information to Meta, such as your IP address and the pages you visited here. It may use cookies. We only ever see this as anonymous totals — never as "who you are". You can read how Meta handles this in the Meta Privacy Policy, and you can limit ad tracking in your browser settings or with an ad blocker — the site works exactly the same either way.
One more technical note: the site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address. You can read how Google handles that in the Google Privacy Policy.
To be clear about the app itself: none of this applies to the TradesBoss app you buy. The app contains no tracking of any kind, runs offline, and your business data never leaves your computer.
Buying TradesBoss
Purchases are processed by Whop, an independent checkout provider. When you buy, Whop collects your payment details and email address under its own terms — we never see your card details. Whop shares your order email with us so we can deliver the product and honour the guarantee. See the Whop Privacy Policy.
If you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to sort out your issue. We don't add you to marketing lists and we don't share or sell your details to anyone.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. In practice we hold very little — usually just purchase emails. Email support@tradesboss.co.uk and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
